Toshl recent update was awesome. The new features such as accounts really help controlling credit cards, savings account, etc.
It does have some opportunities, but the app is great
Im really enjoying Toshl. I love they have a bitcoin currency, its helps me A LOT. Theres room to improvement but its one of the best finance apps I ever used.
The only thing I miss about the app is having a provision of the money, but it has other graphs that make up for it.
Its by far my favorite app, and satisfies my monthly budgetary needs
I have used the previous toshl app and this is a big improvement over the previous one.
The only thing I really miss is the way I could insert tags. Finding an old tag is annoying now, before it was just a matter of writing (a part of) it.
Helps me keep track of all my numbers. Best part is the 3D touch integration.
Toshl is by far the best budget app on the market period. Ive been using Toshl for 2 years now and I can tell you the upgrade they made this past year sealed the deal for me.
It allows you to rollover budgets, fund budgets from a percentage of your income, update budgets throughout the year without affecting the rollover amount, and much more!
It gives you complete control over how you enter data and there is no syncing to bank accounts or any of that mumbo jumbo. You only enter and label transactions when you spend the money; not when you pull cash from your account.
I highly recommend you buy this app and stick with it. Budgeting this way will bring so much freedom to your financial life!
Some bad moments
Simplicity is gone and its hard to enter in expenses quickly. All I need is a simple app to enter expenses and keep a running total for the month, which the old toshl did well. I will stick with the old app for now.
This new toshl runs really slowly on my iPhone 6 and entering in expenses takes longer than necessary. There should also be a calculator in the app to easily add up things to add to an expense.
It keeps getting offline. I have to delete and write the expense again and again to sync.
Really horrivle experience compared to the other app. Also, i cannot login in the web app for some reason.
PLEASE go back and develop the other App!!!
of one of my most recent apps. Nearly every useful function of version 1 is sacrificed to a new fancy look without sense. Very bad experience. I stay with version one.
There are a number of features that got dropped in the new version that make it clumsy. I’ve been a pro user for a couple years, so my wife and I can share a sync’d expense log. The new version
- no longer has descriptions, I dont want to tag every expense, I want to note where it was made
- doesn’t default a decimal in the entry of the amount. Most transactions are small and the old version had a 2 decimal place defaulted in, which is handy for entry
- currency selection should be optional - I don’t need to track in additional currencies, the app should not present me with the option
- next screen button is at the top of the screen, so is “Done” - now I need to hold my device in 2 hands. typlically when I am using this app I want to be able to do it in one hand. Enter the amount, click next/enter, enter the category, enter the description and click done. Seems like the UX is huffing too much MaterialDesign and not considering use on larger devices
The new version is totally disappointing even being pro account :( I wish I could decide which version I want to use.
